What you need to know
Who can attend the YPN IESO facility tour?
All Society members 35 and under are welcomed to attend. Click here to learn about the Young Professionals Network.
Do I have to book time off?
Yes, you are responsible for making your own arrangements to participate in the facility tour.
Do I have to bring ID?
Yes, you will be required to show government issued ID when going through security. A driver’s license or passport is preferred.
What other security protocols do I need to know?
Please do not bring any backpacks or cameras into the facility. Also, please refrain from being on social media while visiting the facility.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you do not need to bring your ticket with you. If you registered for the event, The Society will have your name on the list.
What are my transportation/parking options?
For public transit: please meet at Clarkson GO Station by the Tim Horton’s coffee stand and you will be shuttled to IESO. The shuttle will run from 8:30-9:00am. The last shuttle will leave at 9:00am.
For driving: IESO has very limited visitor parking available so we ask that you park your vehicle at Lakeside Park (2268 Lakeshore Road W.) and we will shuttle you to IESO and bring you back when the tour is over. Lakeside Park has two parking lots off Lakeshore Road – please ensure you park your vehicle is in the main parking lot (which is the larger of the two). The shuttle will run from 8:30-9:00. The last shuttle will leave at 9:00am.
