Building our lobbying capacity is vital. It allows us to leverage our collective influence to shape government policies that affect our jobs and our lives.
After many delays, we expect the provincial government will release its Long-term Energy Plan (LTEP) this fall. What the LTEP says about the fate of Pickering NGS will directly impact more than 4,000 jobs, including those of 1,200 Society members.
The Society is launching a final push to make sure that the Premier and her government understand what is at stake with this decision: Good jobs. Clean energy. A vibrant local economy.
The Society will be reaching out local politicians to lobby eastern GTA leaders on behalf of the YesPickering campaign. We need members like you to join us in these meetings to tell your stories about what the extension of Pickering means to you, your family and your community.
Can you help?
